Fort Walton Beach High School inducted Barbara Britt into its 2025 Hall of Fame in recognition of her 36 years of transforming students into leaders and strengthening the community through hands-on service.

During her tenure, she built one of the region’s most influential leadership programs—expanding it from 30 to over 300 students, launching initiatives like the Christmas Connection, Silver Sands Prom, disaster-relief efforts, military family support, and literacy mentoring projects that continued to impact Northwest Florida for decades.

Barbara’s legacy lived on through the students she empowered, many of whom went on to serve as educators, public officials, and community leaders shaped by her belief that leadership was learned through action.
